# How to hire me

I'm a senior frontend engineer based in Tbilisi, Georgia, working remotely. A company anywhere can engage me one of three ways: a **B2B contract** with me as a registered Georgian individual entrepreneur, **full-time employment through an employer of record**, or a **fixed-scope project**. The contract route needs no EOR - the registration and business bank account are already in place.

I usually reply within a day.

> “…a complex NextJS codebase that he inherited and ramped up on very quickly.”

## Engagement models

### B2B contract

Direct, no intermediary

You contract with

Me, as a registered Georgian individual entrepreneur (sole proprietor)

Paperwork

A direct service agreement between your company and me

Payment

Invoiced to my business bank account

Best for Contract and consulting work, or any engagement you want to start without standing up employment first.

### Full-time via EOR

Your employer of record employs me locally

You contract with

Whichever employer-of-record provider you already use

Paperwork

Your provider's standard employment contract

Payment

The provider runs payroll; you pay the provider

Best for Teams that want a full-time employee on their own benefits and payroll process. I don't require a particular provider.

### Fixed-scope project

A defined deliverable with an end date

You contract with

Me, as a registered Georgian individual entrepreneur (sole proprietor)

Paperwork

A scoped statement of work

Payment

Invoiced against agreed milestones

Best for A specific piece of work - a component library, a test suite, a performance pass - rather than an ongoing seat on the team.

## Terms

Commitment

One full-time engagement at a time: a signed contract runs to its end date or notice period, and I don't take a second client alongside it.

Rate

Quoted after a 30-minute call, invoiced monthly in EUR or USD.

Part-time

Possible but not preferred; a full-time engagement gets my whole attention.

Ownership

Code and designs produced under the contract are yours on payment. NDA on request.

After you write

I reply within a day. We talk for 30 minutes. For a contract, a one-page statement of work covers a paid one-to-two-week trial sprint. Work starts within a week of signing.

## Work authorization & legal setup

- A Georgian residency permit granting the right to work as a contractor for non-Georgian companies.
- Registered as an individual entrepreneur in Georgia (sole proprietor), with a tax ID and a business bank account, so a B2B service agreement and invoicing need no employer-of-record setup.

## Timezone & working hours

- Based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Default day: Central European business hours, 11:00 to 20:00 in Tbilisi (GMT+4). For US teams I work until 22:00 Tbilisi, which is 14:00 in New York (13:00 in winter): about five hours of overlap with the US East Coast and two with California.
- 40 hours a week. Live status is in the header and as JSON at [/hireable](https://asmyshlyaev177.dev/hireable).
- English C1 (full professional), Russian native.

## How I’d rather be evaluated

I’d rather show the work than perform it. A timed algorithm puzzle on a call measures something the job doesn’t contain. Three alternatives, in order of how much they tell you:

1–2 weeks

### Paid trial period

A real sprint inside the team, paid at my normal rate. The B2B contract makes this trivial to start: one short statement of work, no employment paperwork, and either side can stop at the end of it. It is the only format that shows you how someone works with your people rather than how they perform for them.

1–2 days

### Paid trial task

A real ticket off your backlog, paid. You get a pull request, the commit history behind it, and the questions I asked before writing anything — which is usually the more informative half.

Free, right now

### Read what is already public

Three maintained libraries, years of commits, issue threads with strangers, and the test suites. It costs you nothing and it is the same code under the same constraints — backwards compatibility, other people's deadlines, bug reports from production.

A technical conversation about architecture, tradeoffs and things I’ve gotten wrong is a normal part of the process and I’m glad to have it. The trial routes are the part I’d rather the decision rest on.

## When I'm not the right hire

Roles requiring on-site presence outside Tbilisi without relocation support, or US or EU work authorization I don't hold, aren't a fit.

Know which route fits?

Tell me about the role or the project - I usually reply within a day. Or read the [work behind it](https://asmyshlyaev177.dev/projects.md) first.
